Due to high demand, we’ve expanded our lineup with more class dates and added an Advanced course to the schedule! This year, we’re offering two course options to match your experience level: our Intro to Long Range Hunting Course for building a strong foundation, and our Advanced Long Range Hunting Course for shooters ready to push their skills further in real-world hunting scenarios. Both courses you will get new BOTW shooting system demos.
INTRO TO LONG-RANGE HUNTING
After a demonstration by the instructors, each student will get on their assigned rifles where you'll learn about the fundamentals of precision rifle shooting starting with the rifle to shooter interface including:
- Understanding Your Shooting System
- Shooting System Care
- The Huskemaw Advantage
- Basic Internal and External Ballistics
- Systematic Wind Approach
- Shooting Fundamentals
- Shooter/Spotter In-Field Communication

ADVANCED LONG-RANGE HUNTING
If your skills are beyond the beginner level and moving into the intermediate range, our Advanced Long Range Hunting Course is built for you. You’ll refresh all the core fundamentals, then take a deeper dive into real-world hunting scenarios - focusing on advanced shooting positions, problem-solving, and decision-making when it matters most including:
- Brief Overview of Core Fundamentals
- Positional Shooting Including Shooting Off Tripods, Bipods, and Backpacks
- Tackling Incline/Decline Shots
- Building Proper Shooting Positions In-Field
- Real-World Hunting Scenario Live Fire Drills
- In-Field Shooter/Spotter Communication Live Fire Drills

INSTRUCTORS
All of our instructors at The Accuracy Academy are passionate hunters and precision rifle shooters. Their extensive experience will help shorten your learning curve and accelerate your journey to becoming confident with your rifle system.
Course Instructor
Jacob Reck
Jake brings straightforward, experience-driven long-range instruction to the Best of the West Accuracy Academy, built on years of mountain hunting in demanding terrain. His teaching focuses on the skills that matter most in the field, solid fundamentals, efficient rifle setup, and confident decision-making under real-world conditions. Supported by an engineering background and refined through competitive shooting, Jake turns complex ballistics into clear, repeatable processes hunters can rely on when the shot counts.
